Car Dvd Tv
know a legit site where I can buy DVD set of classic TV Car 54 (1961)? thanks?

You can get this series (1961) at Amazon.com, but ONLY on VHS.

Apparently (http://mortystv.com/showcards/car_54.shtml) a DVD version may be planned, but has not yet been released.

What is a good Car DVD Player for a rear-facing child?

We have a long 6 hour drive coming up next month and my 5 month old son hates his carseat. I have a feeling the only thing that is going to keep him happy during the trip is if we get a DVD Player for the car and stock up on Baby Einstein videos. He doesn’t watch TV otherwise so hopefully it will be unusual and entertaining enough to keep him happy! Anyone know of a good model that can be used with a rear-facing carseat? Thanks!

pretty much any DVD player will work, although I don’t approve of using a DVD to keep a child that young entertained in the car. I’m assuming your rear seats have head rests- try finding one with the velcro straps that are designed to attach to a headrest.

Is it possible to put a computer into your car and make windows media player play off your dvd player?

I want to be able to run windows media player using my touch screen dvd player in my car. I know it’s a little much, but it’s unique. I don’t care if thats the only thing on the hard drive, I want to run the cool visuals through my dvd player. Any ideas would really help. DVD player is a touch screen jensen, don’t remember the model #/
I want to be able to see the windows media player visuals on my dvd player. The crazy swirls and such.

A carputer…

The idea is to have a “non-hard drive” based computer that runs standalone Windows XP from a Bootable USB drive that runs the music player of your choice.

Your MP3’s are stored on another USB drive that can be removed for editing.

This all ties into your sound system (amp subs/speakers).

No hard drive means nothing will crash. A touch screen display is really the only other peice of equipment needed that can be custom mounted in your dash.

Look up BartPE and Sherpya. These two guys found a way to run the full GUI of Windows XP on a USB drive (under 600 Mb).

A shuttle style computer is all you need for the computer.

Here is a good place to start:

Help with custom install of eclipse avn5435 cd/dvd/nav in 02 Chevy Tahoe?

I have an Eclipse avn5435 head unit. My problem is its a double din unit and every store I contacted said theres no mounting bracket made for my 2002 Tahoe, said i have to have them do custom work. I bought the unit new when I had an Acura TL and had it installed custom before, i dont want to spend the money twice. Any suggestions or advice on fabricating mounts to install this before i get the dash ripped out would be appreciated. (I’m an electrician and ive done alot of my own complex car audio installs so the work itself shouldn’t be too much to handle right?)

see if the mounting brackets on the stock radio can be removed and re-used. or a mount kit for a single din that has to be snapped together those might possibly work:)
